Local Marketing software

Local Marketing software

Summary

Local Marketing Tool is an all-in-one solution that helps businesses improve their local SEO by unifying ranking tracking, directory listings, Google Business Profile activity, and review management. Instead of using multiple fragmented services, companies now manage everything from one centralized hub.

The system also provides insights from customer reviews, detailed reports on GBP performance, and recommendations for improving visibility in local search.

Background & problem

Local businesses and agencies face recurring challenges:

  • Fragmented tools for rankings, listings, and reviews

  • No visibility into competitors’ performance

  • Time wasted on manual updates across platforms

  • Confusing metrics and counters that made tracking unclear

This fragmented setup created inefficiency and made it harder for businesses to compete in local search.

💡

We realized we needed to create a centralized platform that unifies all local marketing data and makes it easy to understand and act upon.

Tracking setup

The Tracking setup flow allows users to define tracking points (map positions such as a city, region, street, or address) and assign keywords to them. This way, businesses can monitor how their Google Maps rankings vary across multiple locations.

The configuration includes:

  1. Location selection — users choose a country, region, or enter an exact address (city, street, postal code). The system immediately highlights the spot on the integrated map.

  2. Point labeling — each point can be named to keep track of multiple monitoring locations.

  3. Keyword assignment — users add:

    • Common keywords → tracked across all points.

    • Point-specific keywords → tracked only for a selected location.

  4. Map interaction — a point can also be added by directly clicking on the map, auto-filling address details.

  5. Tracking logic — each keyword-point pair consumes one “tracking limit,” making the system flexible and scalable across multiple business locations.

Once tracking points and keywords are configured, users access the Local Rankings dashboard, where they can see aggregated ranking data, analyze trends over time, and compare performance across dates.

Grid Rank Tracker

The Grid Rank Tracker extends ranking analysis beyond single tracking points by creating a matrix of positions across a chosen area. A grid acts as a square of map points (e.g. 3×3 up to 15×15), where the system measures a business’s visibility for selected keywords at each cell.

Users can configure:

Grid size — from small (3×3) to wide-area coverage (15×15).

Gap size — distance between grid points, in miles or kilometers.

Keywords — both common (applied to the whole grid) and grid-specific.

Point deactivation — unnecessary cells (e.g. ocean, rural zones) can be switched off to save tracking limits.

Ranking Charts

Charts can be viewed by different time ranges (weeks, months, years) and grouped for trend analysis, turning raw positions into actionable insights.

Rankings distribution

Overall avg. position

Rankings Table

All ranking data is aggregated into a table view where each row represents a keyword–point combination. For example, 5 points × 5 keywords = 25 rows of data. Additional point-specific keywords expand the dataset.

The table enables:

  • Sorting and filtering by keyword, point, or trend.

  • Change indicators (rise/fall in rankings).

  • Color-coded performance markers for quick scanning.

  • Deeper drill-down — clicking a ranking opens details with SERP snapshot, date, keyword, and live results.

This makes it possible to move seamlessly between a macro view of performance and micro-level keyword insights.

The chart illustrates the impact of the redesign and UX improvements made to the Local Marketing feature. It shows how users progress through the updated flow — from adding a location to reaching the main rankings dashboard.

After the redesign, 49.6% of users who started the flow completed the key action. This not only improved usability and engagement, but also had a direct business impact: the increase in completed flows led to higher revenue.

The analysis also highlights key drop-off points (especially between the wizard and setup save), providing clear opportunities for further optimization — and additional revenue growth.
